Buckingham Care and Rehabilitation Center

My mother was in Brentwood building from 5/22-12/22 and has been in Buckingham building since mid December 2022. She is always well taken care of by the aids, nurses, housekeeping, nutrition/food service and recreation staff. No facility is perfect of course. There have been times that there was a shortage of clean blankets, towels and nightgowns but besides that, everything has been very positive. The rehabilitation department has assisted my mom with exercises to help build some strength back up and they are doing their best to have a staff member to get mom out of her wheelchair and using her walker. My mom is pretty spoiled and when the television was not working right the other day she made a lot of noise and late in the day a worker from maintenance came and got it working. The facility is kept very clean and you don’t feel like you are in a nursing home when you are there. Jodi who is the director of Recreation goes above and beyond to make sure the residents have an assortment of diverse activities to keep their minds and bodies engaged. Whenever I visit there is always a good turn out for Bingo and other games that are played. Recently, there was a Sip and Paint event and it was held outside under a canopy on a beautiful Spring afternoon. The residents always get a nice assortment of refreshments while they are in the activity/dining room. What mom loves the most is when local Girl Scout troop comes to visit and work with the residents on different artistic projects. Every month there is a Resident’s Council meeting to bring up any concerns, complaints or compliments which is very proactive in addressing situations that need improvement. There were some BBQ’s recently and there was a musical guest and lots of special treats to be had by all. I like that Buckingham will showcase most of what is going on with their Facebook page so I know and see how much care and attention my mother is receiving.

An experience my family member recently had going through rehab has been such a pleasant one! Samira was so caring and helpful throughout the entire discharging process. The transition from rehabilitation care to home care setup went smoothly. I would deff recommend this place to more friends and families looking! l

I had a pleasant experience regarding my family members recent stay here. The nurses were so kind, welcoming and accommodating to our circumstances. A great environment to be in. Any issues or questions we were constantly being communicated with and my family member, even after our departure felt safe and cared for by his nurses.

My mother-in-law Mildred Pawson recently stayed at the Rehabilitation Center. During her stay the care she received was excellent. The entire staff were extremely patient, compassionate and took care of her every need. The physical therapy and nutritional food helped her to regain her strength. She came to the facility, weak and not able to walk on her own, but left with energy, walking and in high spirts. Thanks to the excellent care she received while at your facility.
