Since my daughter's first steps into Discovery Village at the tender age of one, we have experienced a level of care and dedication that is truly unparalleled. The front staff, with their warm smiles and genuine affection, create an atmosphere of love and acceptance that sets the tone for the entire day. The hugs and greetings bestowed upon the children each morning and evening are not just routine gestures, but genuine displays of the tremendous love and compassion that the staff members have for each child. Their unwavering dedication and commitment to our child's well-being have transformed this daycare center into a second home for us.
Shira Leibowitz, Ph.D., is an exceptional individual who serves as the director and CEO of Discovery Village, a daycare center for children. With her extensive knowledge and experience in early childhood education, Dr. Leibowitz has made a significant impact on the lives of countless children and families.

BEST DAYCARE EVER
I usually don’t leave reviews but Discovery Village (DV) really deserves to know how thankful we are for what they have done for our kids and family and how much they positively impacted us all. Likewise I would everyone who is looking for a suitable daycare/preschool to know, Discovery Village is THE place to take your loved ones in the Westchester County and surrounding Counties.
We moved States otherwise we would have never left DV and never taken our two kids out of their daycare. In fact, we were so happy to move, but we both, my wife and me, were very upset to leave DV (My wife was crying for days). DV was not only a daycare for us, it really was family and this is how staff treated our kids there, like their own family. Not only that, they taught them so incredibly much with so much kindness and patience, they also did the following amazing facts:
- made us and our oldest comfortable when enrolling our first-born (!!) during the pandemic
- Miss Silvia is to this day the only person, who can feed our second child 6oz per feeding and every calorie counts for our second one 💕 Not even us can feed the little one so much 😫
- Ever single teacher knew our two kids by name, greeted and hugged them when seeing them outside of DV or in the hallways of DV
- Everyone was super honest, understanding and open about any situation at DV, e.g. positive COVID cases (while keeping everything anonymous)or other incidents
- Clean, many meals/snacks and has all the toys needed
- Administration with Miss Daria as Center Director are extremely organized and always helped in all different kinds of situations (everytime I called (even before enrolling), they knew us all).

I was very anxious about switching my son from a babysitter to daycare center but Daria, Shira, and all the staff made the transition seamless. I pick my son up each day with a huge smile on his face. He loves all of the teachers and asks every day if he can go to school. The love that all of the staff have shown my son is appreciated more than they will ever know. Their communication and responsiveness is superior and my son has learned so much in the two months he has been there. I could not recommend Discovery Village enough.

Discovery Village is an wonderful childcare center and preschool! The teachers and staff have created a warm and welcoming environment. My oldest son (4) loves all the science experiments and fun activities that the teachers plan. My younger son (1) benefitted from the clean and loving environment in the infant rooms. The dedication they’ve shown to the families throughout the COVID-19 pandemic has been above and beyond. I would highly recommend that any family looking for a safe and positive environment turn to Discovery Village!

We have been very happy with Discovery Village as our daughter's daycare. The staff is always friendly and greets her by name when I drop her off in the morning which always puts a smile on her face and her classroom teachers are wonderful: patient and kind. My daughter has learned so much in her time there and we are very happy with the emphasis on curriculum, learning, and helping children develop their skills. She loves it so much she often does not want to leave at the end of the day!
