Excel At Woodbury For Rehabilitation & Nursing

I have a relative who is at this facility. Very secure check-in. Facility seems overall well maintained, room is relatively clean. Issues w/parking, not enough spaces & others double parking making it impossible to maneuver. Other issue is the time it takes for nurse / or aides to answer call requests.

My grandmother was recently at this facility after her knee replacement and was welcomed with open arms and warm smiles. The staff always treated my grandmother and the rest of my family with respect and kindness. During my grandmas stay, she also got to attend some events led by the director of recreation. She provided such a positive environment for everyone and her creativity really made the residents smile! I would recommend Excel to anyone needing long term or short term rehab care!

Excel at Woodbury is one of the best rehab. My mother went there after her Hospital stay and I must say from day one the staff was excellent. The Rehab department is out standing with excellent therapist PT and OT. The rehab director Patricia came to check on my mom everyday they have great Cardiopulmonary group classes with great educational piece to it. I would strongly recommend Excel for Rehab.

From the moment I came to Excel I was greeted with smiling faces and offers to help me and to make me comfortable.

Since this was my first time in a rehab facility I was a little apprehensive.

The physical therapy team is excellent, Shannon, Kerri and Ken got me going right away. Always trying to get the most out of every session.

Elizabeth, my aide was so helpful, and always went out of her way to make me comfortable.

Let me tell about Anthony, he gave me my medicines on time and with a smile. I have to wear a brace to bed, and he always came right before he went home to put it on for me.

I cannot say enough good things about Excel. I would recommend Excel to anyone!

Excel saw something in my husband’s medical reports and knew they could help him. From the start, staff was friendly and caring. Nursing supervisor John and his assistant Stephanie were always available to help with my concerns. Therapists Hannah, Amanda and Joe were terrific with my husband. So many others took the time to figure out what my husband was trying to say (stroke left him understanding things, but not able to get out what he wanted to say). Joanne, Anthony and Jeff were just a few of the nursing staff that were all in on his care. Aides such as Liz, understood how to keep him calm and comfortable. Joey, janitorial staff, always stopped by to chat as he cleaned the room. Linda, dietary, is still working with me to get his nutrition right. From the beginning, everyone knew my name and shared my desire to help my husband progress. Many went beyond their job descriptions to help him. 100 days later, he walked out of Excel and is continuing his recovery with many of these wonderful people still helping me and acting as resources for us. Thank you for your care, concern and help. Carmine came as far as he did because of Excel. Another layer in our amazing circle.
