It was looking like a bird's nest before (long overdue pandemic hair) and he came out looking like a kpop idol! Total was ~$30 incl. tip, which is reasonable given the meticulous 1 hr cut, 2 washes, and styling.

(August 31, 2018, 10:16 pm)If you're considering this salon, my tip would be to come in here without expecting a VIP experience. It's a cheaper than average neighborhood salon with surprisingly good hair stylists.
Overall, I was really impressed with this hidden gem in Forest Hills. I've been to similar salons in the area where I got decent experiences. What I liked about Instyle is the value that you get out of their affordable prices. You definitely get more than what you pay for, vs going to an over the top salon charging you $$$ for an "experience".
