I have been a patient of Dr.Nijjar for @6 months
I can honestly say in my experience I have never ran across a Doctor who cares more about their patients than Dr Nijjar
My life has gotten back on track undoubtedly with the help of Dr Nijjar
She is very thorough and has a ability to consistently address every detail
I’ve never experienced this in any healthcare experience

I highly recommend Long Island Neurocare, specifically the Melville location, for anyone seeking TMS treatment for treatment-resistant depression. The experience was highly successful and exceptional from beginning to end, especially because of the staff.

Like others with the affliction, I went many years with mediocre results from trying many different medications. When I finally had enough and wanted to see some real improvement after a prolonged nadir in condition, my doctor suggested TMS. That's when I researched a few different facilities on Long Island and settled on Long Island Neurocare of Melville.

From the beginning, the staff made the intake and insurance process effortless. Once the insurance was quickly approved, Dr. Nijjar evaluated me. She was highly professional and kind and had a genuinely exceptional bedside manner. That significantly put my mind at ease, as I knew I was in good hands. Dr. Pitch, the medical director and another consummate professional, also introduced himself to me during the first treatment, which I appreciated.

Throughout the treatments, the outstanding technicians, Christina and Alessia, would not only make sure I was comfortable and that they met all of my needs, but grew to feel not like just staff but, as time went on, more like long-time friends because of how kind, genuine, and forthcoming they were and how they made me feel. They listened to me, asked me questions about my life and how I felt, and comforted me when I was down, which is essential and therapeutic in a time of need. I cannot overstate how important they were to my progress and what an incredible job they did; they truly deserve special recognition.

Dr. Najjir would visit the session weekly to evaluate my progress, encourage me with her kindhearted and optimistic attitude, and make it abundantly clear that she had an open-door policy whenever I wanted to ask a question. Again, she was fantastic!

On the TMS itself, it can be a lifesaver. Many people will struggle too long before realizing the medication alone is insufficient. Don't settle. I cannot state enough what a game-changer this was for me. Not only was it a complete success, but it was so easy and painless! You can drive yourself to and from the sessions without any problem. There are no side effects.

Also, everyone responds to the treatment differently and at different times. I had a notably delayed response, and it was not working until one of the sessions toward the end. Suddenly, it was as if someone had flipped a switch, and one day I just felt in a good mood with no anxiety. It was incredible. If you are undergoing treatment and not feeling results immediately, be patient!

My TMS experience was life changing. I went from being in bed for weeks and months to rejoining life again. I’m able to feel joy and excitement again. My family has me back again. The science behind this technology is the hope so many of us need. With minor side effects compared to the meds I’ve taken. Thanks to the entire NeuroCare family for taking such great care of me. They made me feel comfortable and like I truly mattered. No question was left unanswered. If you’re thinking about TMS therapy I highly recommend it.

While investigating TMS - Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, I came across this office. When I called the first time, I appreciated that the person who answered the phone was very knowledgeable about the process, so I made an appointment to see the Dr.

After the initial visit, I decided to move forward and started the treatments. Since it was a new process for me, I was a bit uncomfortable at first but the Doctor and office staff put me at ease right away. They were very knowledgeable, patient and caring. I spent between 20-40 minutes each session and the time passed quickly as the office staff is very personable. Any issues I might have had were anticipated by the staff who was able to put my mind at ease.

If you are interested in TMS, I highly recommend making an appointment to familiarize yourself with both the process and the people in the office.
