(June 19, 2023, 6:21 am)My 92 year old mother was taken by ambulance to NUMC. We were trying to get to Winthrop, but we have had excellent experiences with the Emergency room at NUMC in the past, so we were hopeful. With many emergency room visits to compare, I can tell you our experience on Saturday June 17, 2023 was one of the best. The speed, attentiveness, friendliness, and thoroughness were outstanding. Also understanding the stage we are at with our Mom, and not wanting her to be admitted, was also a plus. Dr. Meille, Dr. Trydal, and nurse Jacob, were just wonderful, explaining everything at each step. I am really sorry that NUMC gets such a bad rap because every time we unfortunately have an ER visit, they have come thru every time. Thank you to all of you.

(May 10, 2023, 7:25 pm)I honestly never heard great things about this hospital prior to me going there for the first time for myself on Monday for pre op and then today for surgery. I have to say it was probably one if not the best medical experiences of my life. The nurses & doctors are amazing they listen to your concerns, are funny, kind, and caring, are experienced and made me feel at ease once I walked into the surgical section & at pre op. The only draw back was the wait and they could use more comfortable seating and lighting in the surgical waiting room.
