Pelicana Chicken of Dumont

The atmosphere of the place is very welcoming and casual.
I found this place by looking for fried chicken near Dumont NJ and I loved it. Then I found out they have multiple locations in NY and NJ. Since then every time we are in a mood for fried chicken this is where we go.
Highly recommend it.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Pelicana, and I have to say that it exceeded all of my expectations. The quality of the fried chicken was outstanding and truly one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the original crispy and soy garlic fried chicken, ddukbokki, and cheese balls. Everything was fantastic. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and had a delicious flavor. I especially enjoyed the ddukbokki and cheese balls and will definitely order them again. I apologize that the pictures are half eaten, as I was too busy eating lol

Amazing food and great service! The fried chicken is fresh and there is a variety of flavors to choose from (they all taste delicious, too.) The staff were very kind when I went to dine-in, but the quality of their deliveries never failed to impress me, either 👏👏 Overall one of the best korean chicken places I’ve ever eaten from… Definitely going to be a regular here!

Came here on 9/12/2020. Friendly service. Good selection of items. Nice decorations. 4 indoor tables and yes they allow you to eat inside. Good food. Double portions and high prices that reflect portion size. The rice portion seemed fine.

Cons:
Very expensive! $40 for 2 people with simple meals. Its $18.50 for a chicken sandwich, fries and a drink.
Small drink selection

Suggestion to the owner:
Make an $8 ugly chicken sandwich meal that includes the sandwich, drink and a smaller portion of french fries.

Offer a larger drink selection with diet rootbeer, diet dr pepper, and Joes Tea.

Suggestion to future customers:
The portions are double size other than the ugly sandwich. So order 1 item and share with 2 people. Then the prices and portions become normal and good.

Also, Tatiana's review of no stars is bogus. The chicken sandwiches are very delicious and better than Wendys, McDonalds, Popeyes, and KFC. They are almost as good as Chick Fil A chicken sandwiches! Tatiana was upset with the amount of lettuce and condiments. The employees are friendly and would gladly customize any sandwhich any way you like. If she wants a tower of lettuce, a pint of mayo and 4 tomotoes, I am pretty sure they would do it for her.
