Blu on the Hudson

This place was amazing! The atmosphere was incredible I loved how the inside was so modern and chic. This restaurant is sooo new and the water front scenic with the city right across is such a vibe, anyways my friend took me to dinner here for my birthday last night and it was our first time there and WOW! The service was amazing everyone kept coming to us and wished me a “happy birthday” and gave us complimentary dessert, drinks it was really lovely! The drinks on point! The food delicious! We ordered the oysters and tempura shrimp roll for apps then for our main course we had the lobster fra diavolo which was AMAZINGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!!! It was incredible the flavors wow! Then for dessert we had the tiramisu which was the best tiramisu I’ve ever had in my life like no joke!!! Overall it was an amazing time and I can’t wait to come back and do many more dinners. Thank you everyone to Blu that made us feel so special.

OMG! I don’t know where to start. The experience was amazing! Food amazing! Service amazing! Atmosphere amazing! I would give 10 stars if I could. Our server Marquis was totally on point and took great care of us. He was a gentleman, patient, knowledgeable and just over all a great server. We had a lot of the food on the menu, we had multiple appetizers, entrees and cocktails. Everything was fantastic. We met the owner, he came over to our table and sat down and chatted with us. Super cool guy. We loved hearing about how the restaurant came to fruition. Did I mention the skyline? Bottom line, yes I will return and yes I recommend Blu on the Hudson!

We had a leisurely 5pm dinner with friends on a Monday night in the beginning of August. The restaurant wasn't crowded at all, and only moderately busy when we finally left around 8pm. It was a wonderful dining experience.

This is an amazing restaurant. Large and spacious, contemporary and elegant decor, a huge bar, an extensive wine list, superb and creative dishes, and terrific service. All our specific requests about food preparation were carried out to the letter. Very accommodating.

There is a large outside seating area, but even if you sit inside near the windows (as we did) there is a magnificent view of the water and Manhattan. Our server said on Thursday nights and the weekend the place is wall to wall people, but it was nice and relaxing when we went, and with no loud music.

Valet parking is provided, which is essential because there is no place to park.

All of our dishes were not only delicious, but expertly prepared. Everything is ala carte (including bread if you want it), but the side dishes were generous in size and could easily be shared by the four of us.

This is a very expensive restaurant, but considering the ambiance, location, quality of food and superior service, we would definitely return here because we felt we got value for our money, and had a very enjoyable evening.

Celebrated my birthday here and was not disappointed! The food was delicious, the drink presentation was stunning, our server was knowledgeable and funny, and the decor was fabulous. Definitely looking forward to my next visit here! My only complaints were the bathrooms weren't clean and well-stocked, and the music is very loud, so it was difficult to have a conversation.
