(October 16, 2019, 12:06 pm)Let's face it, a dental appointment isn't exactly the reason why you go to City Island, but if you're a resident of this little seaside town in The Bronx, you have good reason to get your choppers cleaned here.
Located on the main street in a squat, fairly nondescript, single story office building lies Jed Berman's dental practice. The seating area is spare, but clean, inviting and spacious. As the first and major positive about this practice, I have to note that the entire staff is kind, professional, and knowledgeable. Probably the second thing I noticed is that all the equipment is state of the art. When getting my x-rays, the hygienist explained that I would be exposed to much lower amounts of radiation since it's in digital form. Gone are those over sized clunky machines from the 70s. I was thankful for that and my lead apron.
My hygienist spent at least 45 minutes giving me the most complete teeth cleaning I think I've ever had. Once done, Dr. Berman spent another 45 minutes repeating the hygienist's steps. This ensured a very thorough and comprehensive first visit.
They also make sure to work with your insurance and are sensitive to budget needs. What more can you ask for in a cavity search? -
