Dario's Pizza

Came thru after seeing this on One Bite, wish Dave got it fresh outta the oven. This is an 8.5 pie. Got the regular, if you're into thin, light, char, and crisp then this is the one. Def one of the best pies on the island. Friendly owner working his heart out.

Truly some of the best pizza and desserts on long island. High hydration, long ferment dough and only the highest quality ingredients is the focus. To true pizza critics, and those that KNOW - this is one of the best on LI. Highly recommend the italiana (square or round), diavolo, red pepperoni, but they are all great. The cheese cake & cookies (round hazlenut and chocolate) along with the bombolini (pistacchio & cannoli) are all amazing. One of the owners was a pastry chef back in italy and it speaks volumes. Call you order ahead (20 min-45 min depending on day) and order a full pie for the best experience. Eating a full pie on site is always a great option as well! If you’re lucky enough to see bread in the display case BUY IT.

The entire menu is Delicious! Excellent quality of pizzas and sandwiches with a bonus of also having wonderful flavors of donuts for dessert. Great addition to the WH area. Glad to have ya.

Lots of great pizza in queens and Long island... Darius serving up something different with "Roman " style pizza... Doughboy cross between. Grandma and a Sicilian... crispy bottom with a chewy doughy top. But the toppings are all works of art carefully crafted to blend really well. (Somehow I don't have a picture).

But they are dough-men and make crusty fresh bread for sandwiched and insane babalinno's or doughnut. They usually have one flavor of the day and apparently sold 1000 of these in an hour on auperbowl Sunday. This is no sugar are filling but the cremes inside these doughnuts are what you are paying for... and there is plenty.

My cravings for authentic Brooklyn style pizza near me has come to an end. After patiently waiting for Dario’s to open, it was well worth the wait. The owners are super friendly and eager to show what they got.

What I got, is 5 slices to go for me and the wifey to try. All slices were amazing with my favorite being the pepperoni and Birria. But as always, we judge based off a regular slice.

I give it a 9.3/10. Officially for me, based on the style of pizza that I personally like…they are without a doubt the best within the area. The pizza is thin n crispy, sauce so flavorful, cheese so fresh. Heaven in a box.

Will definitely be a regular as long as my waist allows. Great stuff and welcome to the area Dario’s!
