Just had a spinal procedure. Went from level 10 pain to walking practically pain free immediately after the procedure.

Most importantly:
1. I met Dr. Merola 10 years ago (53 years old) when I first herniated a spinal disc. He wasn't the first surgeon I had spoken with (the others wanted to perform surgery immediately). I have always been very athletic. Dr. Merola took the time to get to know me, and recommended against surgery because of my athleticism, he saw that my body (not my back 😊) was of a man 25 years younger, and feared that I would get back to that level of physical activity immediately and relapse - so he recommended that I stay with PT, and learn to let my back tell me when I had to chill; and that if my back sustained a future injury (which it did 10 years later) I would be a better candidate.

2. Rather than perform the most drastic procedure (which I was a candidate for) he performed a minimally invasive procedure. Results: I'm back!

Had an appointment a few weeks ago. Dr. Merola and his staff were incredibly patient and helpful. Front desk staff, (Jess) was wonderful, and Dr. Merola made me feel comfortable and optimistic about my future. A great experience !

Dr Andrew Merola is a god send ! He changed my life with a recent surgery which by the way he is a master at in my eyes . When I was 23 I fractured my spine and in result got it fused by a Dr Nicolas Post, 8 years later I broke a screw off and was in a debilitating pain which grew worse everyday ( I was scared of getting surgery done on my back so I took my time trying yoga and stretching ... To fix a broken screw lol ) Dr Merola told me I needed a surgery though and although I was scared I felt safe with him , he's a pro surgeon. Anyway the surgery was supposed to be to replace the screw but day of the surgery he came to me a said he would be removing the whole fusion completely something I thought impossible. He gave me my life back I'm recovering still and almost at 100% and it's only been 7 months since the procedure ( he said I'll be back to normal in 9 months and that feels right ) I'm 31 years old now . I would recommend Dr Merola to my friends and family. Dr Merola Thank you you're an absolute legend!
