Great and difficult , beautiful all terrain type of trail amazing time just gotta kill as many lantern flies as possible they are everywhere. Great trail
Beautiful but challenging hike - especially the giant stairs sections. Took about 4 hours to complete. They have a concession stand with grilled cheese, sandwiches, drinks and bathrooms. The rangers are helpful in helping you find the trail you are looking for. Small dogs will have trouble and even larger dogs will need help or to be carried at times.
My husband and I began this hike around 11:30 AM in the morning. We were unsure of what lay in front of us, and I have to say I found this hike to be extremely challenging. My husband really enjoyed scrambling over the rocks, but I was a little bit afraid. If rock scrambling is not for you, then this hike may not be for you.
The hike too 4 1/2 hours & certainly felt like an accomplishment when we finally reached the end.
We will definitely go back.
If you are hiking for scenery and attractions, then this may not be for you. This trail is mainly for those who enjoys hiking and want a more challenging or thrilling hike. The hike is not extremely difficult, but it does make you work for it. I do not recommend going on this trail in the Winter or after a rainy day. The Winter cold will make the rocks very slippery. Not only that, but the waterfall, one of the few photographic attractions, may then be frozen over. Similar to the ice and cold, the wet mud will make it more difficult and dangerous to hike after a rainy day. Most importantly, do not go in the evening or at night. Low visuals will make this hike extremely dangerous! Other than that, stay safe and hope you enjoy this trail as I did. By the way, the entire hike from start to end is roughly 3.5 hours.
very tiring and tough hike. I went there with my friends and started the hike around 10 am, definitely go there on a sunny day and summers, the rocks gets really slippery during rain, because by the end of the hike it started drizzling and felt a little dangerous.
it took me 6-7 hrs. to finish the whole hike. we were done with the hike by 6pm and really felt like achievement. we started with some escalated route and continued with stairs and then came rocks. rocks were my favorite part. once you finish that the rest is easy hike.
it gives you amazing view and the rocks are river facing so expect a lot of water. there is a small water fall while continuing hike and also a shore to rest before you continue.
happy hiking.
