My office wanted to send a gift basket to our grieving friend and his family. Since we are not in CT, I searched online for cheese shops. I called the Greenwich Cheese Company to see if they could create a cheese and meat basket for us and deliver it. Pamela told me that it was not customary for the shop to deliver. but because of the circumstances she would see what they could do. After confirming with her manager, she contacted me to say that yes they would customize a gift basket AND deliver it to the family that day.

I gave her an estimate for what we wanted to spend and then she helped me "virtually shop." She literally took a basket and via the phone described what was available. She gave excellent recommendations and provided clear descriptions of the variety of items. I was delighted with the selections that we made. At the end of the call, she verified my information and the delivery address. I asked her to call me back with the overall total once she had a chance to ring it up. A few hours later she called -- the total was within $8 of our estimate!

That afternoon, my friend called to share that he had just received the most amazing gift basket! He was so appreciative of the variety of foods. He was expecting his extended family to arrive the next day for the funeral services later in the week. He couldn't imagine a better gift and was sincerely touched. He sent a picture of the massive basket overflowing with delicacies.

I received a beautiful crate of cheese and other goodies today as a Christmas present. The owner hand delivered the gift. Enjoying the cheese tonight and the wonderful selection in the basket. Best gift of the season. Personal touch meeting the owner as well. I recommend this business highly without any reservation!

There aren't enough good things I can say about this place. The selection is extremely diverse and too quality. The best part about this place is the staff members. They are extremely knowledgeable, kind, and willing to help you find exactly what you need. The last time myself and my fiance went, we told them we ere having a night in and helped us pick out the exact cheeses we needed, and even threw in some fresh baguettes for no charge. This business has top tier quality, dedication to their craft, and some of the best service around.

I've been going to Greenwich cheese shop for years. Everyone is so knowledgeable and patient. Sometimes I go in and I don't know exactly what I want. They let me taste my way through the selection until I find my perfect pairings.
