Harbor Landing at Garvies Point

I moved into the building in February and it was a new experience for my living in a community like this. I am quite pleased with how the past 4 months have went and the incredible people I've met so far. My neighbors are so nice and the staff always make me feel warm and welcome. This past weekend I was able to sit on a Lounge chair and listen to the sound of the trickling water from the water wall and looking at the beautiful flowers blooming. I also enjoy walking to the village and going shopping or bike riding down the path to the beach. I'm so glad I chose this community as my home.

After shopping around all of Nassau County apartment complexes, Harbor Landing takes the cake by a long shot! They keep their grounds clean, and maintain their landscape all year round. I'll boast that they take of of their tenants by accommodating reasonable requests, and also cultivate a community by always celebrating holidays providing goodies to indulge in, in the lobby. For your birthday, they surprise you with a gift to your door. From the boardwalk, to the views, to their beautifully designed apartments, this place is definitely a home.

This was our first place to call home as a married couple! We lived in building I. Pros: very nice & modern apartments with friendly building staff members. Lovely courtyard & common spaces. We enjoyed the activities that the building hosted too. Cons: when we first moved in, there was still a lot of construction going on in the surrounding area, so sometimes there would be a bad outdoor smell during the day. Also, the parking lot is on one side and the main entrance is on the other side of the building (kinda inconvenient when you have groceries or when there is very cold weather). It took them over a year and a half to finally install the electronic device needed for residents to open the door to the building near the parking lot side. Besides these minor issues, we had a good & memorable experience living here. Thanks so much!

I have been living here for two years now and all I can say is that I couldn’t be happier! I recently upgraded to a larger apartment and it’s perfection! Yes, there are little things that needed to be fixed here and there from the previous tenants, but the staff acted quick and everything I asked for to be adjusted or fixed was done promptly and correctly!

The community itself I enjoy… it is VERY dog friendly which is great since I have 2 dogs myself so if you are not a dog person this is not the place for you. Living here reminds me of living back in NYC high rise looking out to see the water and the beautiful sunsets. The common areas like the lobby and the club rooms allow you a chance to interact with neighbors and meet new people which is very nice. As far as noise, you can hear neighbors above periodically, however that is to be expected with apartment living. The location is beautiful and feels like a hidden gem on Long Island.

The only thing I can complain about that really bothered me was the dog feces around the property from irresponsible dog owners not picking up after their pets (especially when the property offers complimentary dog bags in case you do not have your own). Thankfully, management sent out a letter cracking down that they would be carefully monitoring and issuing fines for offenders no exceptions and it seems to have worked in getting the issue under control!

Overall, Harbor Landing is a wonderful place to live and i look forward to continuing our residency here as we recently renewed. Props to Debra and her team for handling any/all issues promptly and for being so kind and pleasant to work with! They truly add to the magic of our wonderful community and make it all worth it!
