(April 27, 2023, 5:01 pm)I applied to Hofstra (and got in), but I REALLY wanted to go to a small private LAC up in New England, that was the undergraduate college experience I was seeking; since I'd attended a large, crowded public Brooklyn high school. Therefore, I ended up attending college up in Amherst. MA. Being from Brooklyn, I just wanted a COMPLETE change of life pace.
LOL, the biggest "draw" to Hofstra for me was that Francis Ford Coppola had attended the University. 🤣 As a Theater 🎭/Film 📽️ student, this did have a little sway on me. Hofstra has a VERY NICE campus, but I actually preferred nearby Adelphi University in Garden City's (the only other college on LI I ended up applying to) campus, I thought it was more "classically" architecturally beautiful; but that should NEVER be a student's sole reason to choose a college. -

(March 1, 2023, 12:10 pm)I didn't attend, my sister did. All I can say is that it changed her life for the better!! Its also right next door to Nassau Coliseum. It's the highest ranked University on Long Island!!!
