I took the Piano and Music Theory Basics class with Adrian and highly recommend it to anyone interested in building a foundation for playing the piano. I left the course feeling more experienced and invigorated to continue practicing. It’s not your basic piano course, with simplistic exercises void of connection to playing songs. The scope of the course delivered musical theory concepts in a digestible way while challenging participants throughout. It was highly informative and personal with small class size you can get all your questions in and time to build on areas you need to develop. Week after week there was a nice balance reflective exercises and new material. It helped me; understand basic piano layout, musical notation, put musical theory concepts like pitch, rhythm, tempo into action, built my musical lexicon, and practice physical techniques. It was a fun and rewarding experience. Well worth it!
Some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Adrian and Keylabs gave me the opportunity to connect with others over our shared interest in music. I was afraid I might have been too old to learn such a technical, mental skill, but his chords method makes it easy to play beautiful, full sounding arrangements that you could even sing along too. I will continue to practice and hopefully sign up for the advanced class some day
I learned so much from Adrian during the past 4 classes. I am in my 50's, didn't read music and had not played any musical instruments before I took the lesson. The lessons are packed with information, and provided me a pathway to advance further musically.
Adrian is great teacher. He is patient, encouraging and provided detailed instructions/materials for each lesson.
Highly rec
After being away from music for more than two decades, I just completed the music theory and chords/triads classes, and I have to say, it's been a fantastic experience learning/relearning the basics from Adrian -- a passionate teacher and terrific pianist in his own right. From this experience, I feel really inspired to continue learning and playing as much as I can so I can become the musician I always wanted to be....
Keylab is the real deal for anyone wanting to learn how to play music the right way -- building off a strong foundation of music theory and knowledge so you have all the tools you need to unleash your inner musician...!
I only wish I had found Keylab when I was kid taking lessons. But now that I'm retired and looking to put joy back into my life, I'm glad I stumbled upon this wonderful org...
I live in North Carolina and found Keylab randomly online. I had a great experience with Adrian on a virtual piano lesson. He then followed up with a lot of great material and a framework for me to learn on my own. Well worth it!
