Master Upholstery

I brought in my Danish mid-century modern chair (now 60 years old) to replace the seat cushion and re-glue the frame which was coming apart. Andy did a magnificent job of replacing the leather seat, re-gluing and cleaning. The chair looks like new, is very comfortable to sit on and is ready for another half century of use. Highly recommended.

Master Upholstery did such a great job with our dining chairs. They used to be wobbly, sunken in, and had exposed nail heads at the feet. Everything was fixed and fitted with a spill-proof and easy to clean fabric. Reasonably priced and fixed in less than a week. Much better than buying new chairs!

This is now the second time I’ve had furniture reupholstered at Master Upholstery and the workmanship is incredible. They took furniture that looked old and tired and turned them into chic and sophisticated pieces that look brand new. Andy is a pleasure to work with, he’s very professional, friendly and responsive. I wouldn’t take my furniture to be reupholstered anywhere else. I’m an interior designer and have worked with many upholstery workrooms over the years, but none have had the kind of attention to detail that Master Upholstery has. Andy and his team are true master craftsmen! Their prices are also quite reasonable. In my opinion, Master Upholstery is the only place to go to have anything reupholstered or restored!

I wish I had taken a before picture because this picture doesn't do this chair justice. This set has been in my family for over 40 years, and because of the quality, the chairs have withheld the tests of time (and children) ... but I thought they were done and we wouldn't be able to revive them. I had the set of six chairs redone at Master Upholstery, and they look brand new! We're very happy with the end result. Price was more than fair and the attention to detail is impressive to say the least. It was a pleasure to work with them.

Andy does terrific work. We inherited an antique settee and matching chair from my mother-in-law in the mid '80's and they had the original velvet fabric from when she owned it. Over the years we lived with them, but from having cats, and day-to-day usage they needed a new lease on life. I felt embarrassed by the way they had become over the years. We procrastinated over many years to have them redone. So we've past Andy's store many times while going to through Ft. Lee to Edgewater, and decided to commission him to redo our loving family pieces of furniture. It took many months to find the right fabric to keep in character of our furniture, and learn about velvet fabrics, and how they would endure over the years of usage. Finally everything was in place, and Andy used his loving skill to reupholstered our pieces to their original glory. Not only did he do the upholstery, but re-enforced the wood frames, and refinished the color of the frames too. My husband and I are so delighted to have had Master Upholstery give our furniture such new beauty. See the photos below, so you can see the transformation.
