Dr. Werely is a great doctor. She makes you feel like a friend and makes everything easy. If you have a question for her after the appointment, you just send her an email and she answers back. I wish more doctors practiced like she does.

I recommend Dr. Jennifer Werely wholeheartedly and hold her practice in the highest esteem, as her care and thoroughness are two reasons I'm alive and well today. In November 2017, I went in with complaints of being "really tired" with a loss of sensation in my right hand and foot. I was convinced I had a B-12 deficiency with anemia. My primary care physician did a bunch of tests—everything from mono to lyme—and each test came back negative; I didn't even have so much as one vitamin deficiency. Under her care, my doctor referred me to Dr. Werely, who ordered a script for a MRI. It turned out that I had a 3", congenital brain tumor leaning against the lateral wall of my left ventricle. As a 30-year-old female, who has never been anything but healthy (I had even run the Rome Marathon two years prior), Dr. Jennifer Werely called regularly, up to the night before my surgery and the days afterward. She is an amazing, amazing doctor, and I credit her with saving my life.
It's now been nearly four years since that surgery, and a lot has changed. Six months after surgery, I was accepted to and attended the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, one of the best writing programs in the country. A year after surgery, I accepted a job at Penguin Random House, one of the best publishing houses in the world. Two years after surgery, I ran the New York City Marathon—all 26.2 miles of it. And now, three years after surgery, I’m a master's candidate at the University of Chicago (on a great scholarship no less!), so I can become a psychotherapist and work with kids with learning differences and brain tumors.
At the time of my surgery, my neurosurgeon at Columbia Presbyterian told my family that without surgical intervention I probably only had "a couple" months left. Instead, I'm now taking this new opportunity to live.

The best Doctor and neurologist I’ve ever had. And I’ve had A LOT of doctors. She is always willing to go above and beyond. She’s available anytime you need her. I tell everyone I know she is god sent. You won’t go wrong by choosing Dr. Werely to be your neurologist. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for her.
