Dana was absolutely amazing. As a first time mother, I am excited and hopeful about breastfeeding my daughter. I met with Dana online before giving birth and she was able to make me feel confident about the process and she provided me with a lot of resources to review that supported answering all my questions.

I would strongly recommend that every birthing person to use a specialist like Dana to support their journey.

Dana was super helpful in guiding me through the start of my breastfeeding journey. She was hands on, provided great tips to help me achieve the perfect latch with my son. She also followed up with notes and stayed in touch if I had any additional questions. I’m excited to continue working with her!

I did a televisit with Dana due to the fact I was sick and didn’t want to get her sick as well but she was very helpful in answering my questions and addressing any concerns that I had when it came to certain medications I took. She also gave very good advice on why my son struggled when it came to latching.

I would recommend her for your breastfeeding needs/journey.

Dana Hilsenrath was an absolute pleasure to work with. She’s extremely knowledgeable and helpful, whether you’re concerned about latching, pumping, feeding schedules and a lot more. I was so relieved to have her guidance and feel like she set me up for success on my breastfeeding journey.

Dana was wonderful to work with! I was able to successfully breastfeed my sons, but knowing every baby is different, I had every intention of hiring a Lactation Consultant with my daughter. When she was born late pre-term at 36 weeks, I needed more help than I had planned. She was primarily bottle feeding, then using a shield, and I had been pumping since day 1, something I didn’t need to do in the past. Dana came to our home and helped me figure it all out. She showed me different positions to nurse her to get a stronger latch, did a weighted feed which eased my worries about how efficient she was at the breast, did an oral exam, and helped me figure out the best plan for pumping going forward. Since she came, my daughter has been exclusively nursing without the shield, and I feel so much more confident. She was kind, helpful, super knowledgeable, and listened to everything I said and addressed all of my questions and concerns. Thank you, Dana, for setting us up for a successful nursing journey! We are so grateful!
