Wonderful experience. I brought my Gibson acoustic in because of String buzz. He was able to resolve the issue for me quickly. Prior to this I had brought my guitar to another establishment which held onto it for one week and told me that they could not resolve the string buzz issue as it was a defect in the Guitar. It matters who you go to for your instrument needs and I would suggest AZG musical.

Our violin was treated very well in this shop. We brought our used violin which we had just purchased from another general music shop in NJ, and it needed to be looked at and put new strings. The guy(the owner I think) gave me some indication of work might need in the future, but he was extremely reasonable on his service fee for our immediate need/fix. It was worth the trip(it is a bit out in Brooklyn), and I will definitely give him a call when we are ready to do the additional work on this violin. This kind of professional touch and honest work is very hard to find in this city anymore. I would highly recommend this business.

I just passed along Alex's contact info to a neighbor, and realized I never left any reviews in the past. It's been a few years since I've needed work done, but Alex has worked on both of my violins in the past, and I can tell you he is skilled, knowledgable, and has a quick turnaround. Very fair prices, and good communication.

Alex @AZG was a godsend. My violin's neck broke 5 days before I needed it, and just before a weekend no less. I emailed Alex and later that night he was already on the phone with me figuring out a plan of action. He took my violin and repaired it that weekend. It was not a simple repair. He had to rebuild the space between the body and the neck by hand, carving it to just the right size. The violin sounds better than ever. He even changed the tuners that had been giving me trouble for months. This man does quality work for the most reasonable price you will find anywhere.

His prices are clearly listed, and far below his competitors. He creatively approached my repair. His turnaround time was extremely quick. He was very personable; a gentleman.
