Bailey Arboretum

This is an awesome spot to bring your family, particularly if you have kiddos. We had a blast at the playground, where they even have musical instruments to play with. We spotted a massive turtle at the pond, which got the little ones super hyped. It's a definite must-visit if you're in the area.

Places like this are a gift. It was a perfect day for a walk, with the temperature in the 50s the dappled afternoon sunlight, the ice in the ponds, and the trails carpeted with fallen leaves. The dawn redwoods are rare and impressive, and the lindens are massive.

There are 3 trails of varying length, a children's "habitat," a visitor's cottage, and educational plaques along the paths. Pets are allowed, but please pick up after them! There are numerous benches along the trails and many nice spots for a picnic.

Entrance was free and donations are encouraged. Members get parking spots reserved (no need today, the day before Thanksgiving) and other perks.

Wonderful venue for an event. We did our vow renewal at Bailey Arboretum in April 2022 (it was an outdoor event). Courtney was wonderful to work with and helped us find some amazing vendors for our event. Everything went well. The facilities inside the building are clean and well maintained. We used a valet service (as they highly recommend doing) and all went well with parking. Overall, a wonderful experience on gorgeous grounds!
