This facility is well maintained and has nice accommodations for family visits. The staff there are friendly and helpful if have any questions. The location is closely adjacent to Long Beach boardwalk so it gives you an advantage viewpoint of the boardwalk.
Even though it's 14 years ago my mom was there until she passed away and was only there for a few months the staff was excellent.. They took good care of her. They were very friendly to myself and my mom and my family.. The facility was very clean. I'm looking for a rehabilitation center for a friend of mine and i hope i can get her transfered from the place she's in now to Beach Terrace Care Center.
I can not say enough about Beach Terrace Nursing facility. I knew my aunt was in the best of care when my husband and I moved to Florida. The care, compassion and dignity that was shown not only to my aunt but for me as well. They always took time to make everyone feel like family. Thank you again from the bottom of my heart for 10 years of dedication.
I needed to find my Mom, a Nursing/Rehab facility after she fractured her ribs. I literally made a list of Nursing/Rehab facilities and visited 8 in 1 day. I was in Queens, Brooklyn and the Island. Every facility I visited actually made me depressed. The facility was not clean, both the patients and staff had no facial expressions and they felt cold and unattached. At one facility while I was waiting to see the director, I saw a nurse push an elderly man, slumped over and feet dragging wheel him to the front window and just left him there in the same position. I turned around, walked out and cried thinking that I will never find any place good for Mom. I had 1 more facility to visit. The facility happened to be Beach Terrace Care Center. I walked in and could not have been any happier. Again, I cried and I had only entered the building.
The facility itself was immaculately clean and not only was the staff friendly and smiling, so were the patients I saw. I knew at that very moment I found THE BEST for Mom.
At the time I didn’t know it but what every other facility that was lacking, Beach Terrace had. But, most importantly I realized I wanted Mom in a facility where not only is the staff smiling and pleasant, the patients were obviously happy and that was important, second to the exceptional care Mom was given. Most importantly I realized all I wanted for Mom was good care and felt she would get it here.
I have to give a shout out to Suzanne Mahoney, the Admissions Director, who sat me down and I watched her do her magic. She took care of everything and kept me informed.
Throughout my day visiting other facilities I met many Administrators, but none came anywhere near Suzanne. She made me feel completely comfortable and most of all, took many of my worries about Mom off my shoulders, which gave me the time to prepare my Mom’s house for her arrival after rehab.
I cannot say anything I didn’t like. I wholeheartedly recommend and have recommended Beach Terrace Care Center many times and none of those people had a single negative thing to say either.
I have already told my Son, that should the time come where I may require special care, I want to go to Beach Terrace.
I have nearly written a novel but only scraped the top of how impressed I am with Beach Terrace. Thank God for them!
Sincerely, Terry Fogarty
