You should try their steamed and grilled chicken, healthy and affordable, i really like their sauces. They have generous serving as well. Their Salmon curry noodle is really good too.
Loved the food here! Everything tasted fresh, I especially loved the papaya salad with the chicken as it tasted so perfectly together. The portions are pretty big for the price and it’s affordable. A great place to get yummy food 🤤!
Great spot to stop by a quick and delicious meal. Highly recommend! Will definitely be back!
We got the Steamed Chicken Rice, Somtum + Gai Yang, Chicken Buns, Thai Iced Tea, and Thai Iced Lemon Tea.
It was my first time trying Khao man gai (thai style hainanese chicken) and gai yang (thai grilled chicken), and both were absolutely delicious! (Love that both are boneless for easy consumption! 😅)
I am normally picky with my hainanese chicken because some places have a chewier chicken skin texture that I'm not a fan of, but this one was really well cooked. The skin was super soft and basically melted in with the juicy, tender meat. And then the ginger sauce (I could eat a bucket of that sauce 😋) gave the dish a little refreshing kick!
The gai yang was also really juicy and tender! It's definitely a dish that everyone would enjoy and couldn't go wrong with ordering! The somtum (papaya salad) has a kick and pairs well with the grilled chicken.
The chicken buns were also tender and the buns were fluffy.
The drinks were a little too sweet for me but delicious nevertheless! Pairs well with the savory dishes!
Service was great and we didn't wait that long for the food!
Found this new gem inside canal street market right across Joes steam rolls. Everyone loves a good hainan chicken rice, but this is the Thai version with steamed chicken over ginger rice but with their special Thai ginger sauce. The dishes is very cheap most of them are around $10. I really liked the Khao Man Gai which is the steamed chicken rice. The chicken is very juicy, they use the meat from the thigh so it's very tender not dry like chicken breast. It's comes with a bowl of chicken broth as well. If you would like the grilled one too you can get the combo one to try both. Don't forget to get a Thai ice tea to go with your meal.
Service is fast, you can order from their self service machine or walk to the front to order. There's only two stools at the shop you can eat, but there are more seats at the back of the food court.
Keepin it real out here at the market
So nice to have another authentic Khao Man Gai spot here in the city. Got a chance to try the signature chicken with the papaya salad, very solid overall. Clean space, great customer service plus the market overall has a nice vibe. Expect to pay city prices when visit but will return again!
