Bright Horizons at Lincoln Harbor

This is such an amazing place, with amazing people. We have been so impressed with the cleanliness of the facility, organization of the center, care from the staff, and the leadership of Miss Abril. Our son is almost 3, and has been at the center for approximately 1 year and we couldn't be more satisfied.

Communication is one area we most appreciate - the rules are clear and are all in place to put the health of the children first. We receive clear communication throughout the day, and the app is updated frequently with pictures and notes, and we know that if ANYTHING happens to our son (even a scratch) they will call immediately. There are monthly calendars to keep us informed and weekly updates letting us know about programs and even what to expect with staff vacations. They are also open to any and all feedback on how they can help make our experience wonderful.

There is also an impressive variety of activities and learnings at the facility. We see it all through the pictures - morning meetings discussing days of the week (the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen), constant educational activities, outdoor exploration, dancing, singing, and counting. More important than seeing it all in pictures, we experience it at home - our little boy has excelled in numbers, speaking and his motor skills, just to name a few - it has been a pleasure to watch and this can only happen with trained and caring teachers.

And finally, the staff. We really can’t say enough positive things about each and every one of them. They have welcomed Noah with open arms, taught him lessons, and continued to ensure he is a kind and loving child.

Our son has been going to this daycare since he turned 13 months old and we absolutely love them! Toddler class has been very educational and I could tell our son has been thriving and learning a lot of new things because of them. We also love his class mates very much and we often co-host play dates with them! Highly recommend this daycare.

Such a wonderful daycare! The teachers are so caring and great at keeping us updated every day. It’s rare for an hour to go by without receiving an update or pic. Our daughter loves her teachers so much, and you can tell they genuinely love their students. Every day they have tons of activities planned that parents can see on their calendar. Our daughter has learned so much in just a few months, and she is genuinely happy to go to school every morning!

The only negative comments I have heard from one other parent was due to their policy of sending kids who are visibly sick home to protect the other kids. Not a bad policy in my opinion! Super disappointing some parents on here will spread lies about the center when that’s what they’re actually mad about.

BH at Lincoln Harbor has been a great place for my child to grow, learn and thrive. We’ve been there for almost 2 years now and we’ve had the opportunity to experience infant, toddler and now preschool environments.

The staff in each of the rooms have been highly professional and caring, providing me with updates, pictures and videos throughout the day, feedback during pickup or drop off, and I’ve been able to schedule times with them for special questions / developmental checkins.

The place is clean and fun, they have outdoor space and an indoor gym. There is also a great sense of community, we’ve had play dates with other kids and parents outside of school which has all made life a bit more normal for the kids, despite them being “Covid kids”
As with the rest of the state of NJ, the center kept up with Covid protocols well and we’ve had very few sickness disruptions. Parents are required to submit a daily health attestation and there is a detailed sick/symptom policy which helps.

They have the option to bring all food items from home or order through the center. They provide breakfast and snacks through the center always. There is an activity calendar for the month which helps us plan for special days and birthdays.

They have part time options as well and some families use that as well, if their situation allows it. There are also many families with multiple children at the center across different age groups.

Overall BH has been a great complement for our family. My child enjoys going there and I have peace of mind.

My four-year old daughter has been attending the daycare center at Lincoln Harbor since May this year. Overall very good quality and reliable. The daycare center adheres strictly to COVID protocols and remains well organized during such a difficult time. I can tell that the center management team tries hard to retain good employees and caregivers are well trained. For the past couple months, my daughter was able to learn phonics and writing. The teachers keep very detailed activity log for the day, and I can see my daughter's writing and reading skills improve tremendously over weeks. The K-Prep class teachers are definitely very experienced and methodological in their teaching styles. I am convinced by their approach. Kids at this age are very sensitive to their surroundings and easily get distracted by their peers in multiple ways. I'm glad to see that my daughter was able to navigate through different types of situations with her classmates in communication/sharing/dealing with conflicts, etc. Even though originally I was considering to send her to a public program at 4, I decided to let her stay, and I think the center is definitely a better choice for my family, given both parents are working professionals. The kid is learning, happy and growing healthily both physically and emotionally at a safe place. Overall, I recommend this center based on my personal experience.
