Canarsie Pier

It's nice here but it would be better if people cleaned up after themselves. There was a lot of trash on the ground in the barbecue area. Also trash on the rocks at the waters edge.
Beyond that it's a nice area to explore with kids. If you're going to walk the beach area make sure to wear pants and sneakers. The grasses can hide God knows what in there and pants and sneakers will keep your legs safe from stuff like possible ticks.

Great place to relax with friends, have a BBQ or fun day. You can also do fishing or just walk around the pier for exercise,it is also very beautiful at nights.

It was awesome. I would totally recommend to anybody who is bored.
Lots of free parking .bathroom facilities, bring a chair and relax. Quiet place to fish in Jamaica Bay.

Watch fishermen try and catch the big one (surprisingly doesn't smell like a fishy area either) there are trails which begin at the entrance of the parking lot which you can walk, jog or bike.

If you bring the family on the side of the parking lot you can bbq and there is a sprinkler tree to refresh the little ones. This is a federal site run by park rangers so it's super safe here.

If you want romantic area away from everyone it can work too. But I enjoy it so I can read a book, listen to music or just nap and sunbathe with a nice breeze.

Canarsie places the old stomping ground for me back in the days you used to be afraid to stand there wants to sunset but the vibe on the Friday night is real cool a lot of couples come through in the evening young but everything is peaceful, the only thing is if you're going to do a cookout anticipate no shade there are no trees really in the park where you can get a good shade spot so bring your umbrellas.

I love this place. Great community gathering spot, lots of fishermen, a variety of birds in large numbers, a beautiful panoramic view of the sea, lots of parking and even public bathrooms. People often sell food right outside too. I love to stop here after work from time to time.

It’s ok just a pierna lot of people come to fish here it’s quite but there’s always a few they come here to make more noise than they should. But overall a fun place to come relax.

I use to come a lot when I was a kid and there use to be a restaurant no more though. It does hace access to a nice bike path as wells I’ll probably bring my bike next time
