(April 29, 2023, 4:36 pm)First, let me state that I am a Board Certified Internist, living in Alabama. I have seen many changes in Medicine over my 48 years of practice and am not happy with the depersonalization we all face. But, against this trend, I take comfort in knowing that physicians such as Dr. Rupal Shah still exist. Dr. Shah would be the physician I chose, if I were living in Nassau County. She was my mother’s physician and I had the pleasure of interacting with her, mostly by phone, many times. I can tell you that her fund of medical knowledge is superb. Her patient management skills are excellent. Over the years, my 99 year old mother was only hospitalized twice. Through home visits and telephone calls, she kept Mom where she wanted to be…at home., She knew when to refer or when tests were needed. She organized home health services and always returned calls. She was pleasant and calm. When Mom came to her, she reviewed and simplified her treatment plan making it easier for the home health aides. She always was putting her patients first. In fact, I once reminded her that she needed to take time for her family too. I am so proud that we share the same title…that of Physician.

(January 25, 2020, 12:20 pm)Dr. Vilma Vas is absolutely the best. Not only is she an amazing doctor but an amazing person as well. She truly cares for her patients and is genuine and treats us like friends and family. She takes the time to hear you out and doesn't rush you. I will recommend her to all of my friends and family to see her at Hempstead Medical Group.

(January 12, 2020, 9:30 pm)Dr. Vas is a highly reputable doctor. She lives up to the label because she shows kindness towards her patients and speaks in such an understanding way. She was the only person that was able to convince me to quit smoking and works at the patients convenience. She is such a hard worker. If you want a good doctor she's the one. I'm so happy I found her!

(January 12, 2020, 9:27 pm)After quite a while I can say I found the perfect primary care doctor for me. She truly cares about her patients as people, they aren't cash grabs to her. She takes the time to listen to your problems and effectively reaches a solution. She personally called me to give my results which from my experience isn't common. As I explained I am very happy with her work and highly recommend her to others.
