Lyndhurst Mansion

The mansion is beautiful! Our tour guide was very passionate about the history and was more than willing to answer all of our questions. Classic entry was only $27, and you can walk around the 67 acres after the hour long tour. You can also just pay $10 to walk the grounds without the tour. There's so much history and art to look at,and when you're outside there is so much beautiful landscape. You could spend all day here enjoying everything.

What a magnificent place I've worked at tonight. Its a hidden gem.
The venue itself exudes a rustic elegance that transports you to a bygone era. The old-world charm is wonderfully preserved.
One highlight of this great venue was the addition of a photo booth. It was an absolute stroke of genius! Hollywood Smile Photo Booth not only provided endless entertainment but also created lasting memories for all the guests. The laughter, joy, and creativity that emanated from the booth were contagious, making it a focal point for capturing cherished moments throughout the evening.

Excellent location. Did the tour with Helene and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty to do after the tour as well. Rose garden is nice along with the exhibition. Would highly recommend visiting the Lyndhurst Mansion. Plenty of parking and very Uber friendly.

The most beautiful place in the world! 67 acres on Hudson River. Must visit. Buy an informative castle tour or just come in for a picnic. Absolutely breathtaking. Visit the rose garden 🌹🥀💐

Finally made it out to Lyndhurst Mansion on a lovely Friday morning. Getting there was easy...once you enter the grounds you follow the signs until you get to the graveled parking lot. You park there and make the short walk to the visitor's center to check in.

Your tour guide will then take you to the Mansion. I had a great experience with the one-hour standard mansion tour. ($25) Our tour guide Emil was great...very knowledgeable and thorough describing each of the three families who have lived at the mansion. Once we entered the mansion, we visited the various rooms of the mansion's main floor and upstairs as Emil described each room and each family's contribution to that room. Navigating the house is easy...there is one set of stairs which you will have to ascend and descend during the tour. I learned a lot about each family, the mansion and the surrounding grounds.

Before or after the tour, you are welcome to wander the lovely grounds on your own. Lots of lovely scenery in the surrounding space, including the "Riverwalk" trail which can be accessed from the Northeast corner of the grounds and extends to offer some lovely views of the Tappen Zee bridge, though it doesn't take you all the way to the bridge and you are separate from the coastline by the train tracks...keep that in mind.

Our tour group was only four people, but I saw others later in the day that had around 8-10...not sure the limit, but some rooms are smaller so it may be difficult to have more than 10 people at a time.
