Excellent physician. Doesn’t rush you out of the office. Helped me with a severe foot infection. He’s been my go-to foot doctor for over 10 years.

I have been going to see the doc for years! Even living in jersey I still trek there to see him. He is all about non invasive treatment for an issue before even mentioning surgery. So far my flatfoot has been very well managed with no further problems.

I love this guy! The best foot doctor I have ever seen in my life. He takes care of my chronic sports injuries from years of biking and makes great custom foot orthotics. If you need a great foot doctor, Dr. Herbert Chien is it.

Dr. Chien is the best podiatrist ever!! Whenever I have any issue with my feet, Dr. Chien is the doctor to see. You can count on him to carefully evaluate the cause of the problem and make things right. I came in to see him because I banged my foot again. I wasn't sure if I fractured any toes but my foot was very bruised. Dr. Chien took X-rays in the office and made sure nothing was fractured. Thank goodness, no fracture. It was very convenient that I didn't have to go to another place to take the X-ray. Thank you doc for being there. I can always count on you!

Dr. Hebert Chien is the best podiatrist in New York. Yes. We tried others. And he’s the best. Dr. Chien is highly skilled, knowledgable, and very personable. He is a good listener and asks a lot of questions – both hallmarks of an excellent doctor. I have been bringing my husband, 90, to him for routine podiatry care for years. He was recommended to us by our internist who brings her own family members to him and is his patient too. Dr. Chien helped my husband beyond routine issues including treatment and monitoring gout, fungus nails, blisters, foot, ankle, and leg swelling and pain. Dr. Chien brings many years of experience and brilliance— Brooklyn Technical High School grad, Johns Hopkins University undergrad and med school, and additional medical and surgical training. His inquiries about my husband’s conditions, such as pre-diabetes, spinal stenosis, and hip replacement surgery led to insights into his recovery, walking, balance, physical therapy, and diet. Dr. Chien’s helpful opinions about the latest pressure socks, foot gadgets, and sneakers were always useful and sometimes humorous. He truly cares about his patients and encourages ongoing learning about foot care. The office is loaded with great magazines, and nice music, and is centrally located in Lower Manhattan/Chinatown. The Chinese-speaking staff is friendly and efficient. Get your feet happy again with Dr. Chien!
