Margaritas Cafe

Margaritas is a local staple and definitely worth a visit, but you cannot deny that the restaurant is strange. The place works hard to make the most of a small space, but as a result the restaurant is loud and absolutely overwhelming--

Just as you adjust to the loud sounds of the place, from the back of the restaurant a full mariachi band emerges. They choose individual tables to serenade and are a very fun addition to the restaurant but just as quickly as they appeared they retreat to the back again.

If it is your birthday or another special occasion then the staff will celebrate with you and other patrons will graciously clap along. Overall, the atmosphere is fun--just don't expect this to be a five-star dining establishment.

The food is consistent and enjoyable, the alcohol options are good and well priced. It is easy to have a good time here.

The food is fantastic, I generally sit at the bar and the bartenders take great care of me. The happy hour Margaritas are just on but inexpensive. I typically buy a Margarita that is made to order and they are much better. Would recommend giving this place a chance.

Great atmosphere, great service, great food, great authentic Mexican music! This place knows how to do Mexican food... the place is colorful and very upbeat! Lots of help...so always someone there to fill your order and/ or water. If you like your food served hot then this is the place. I say that because, actually these days asking for your food to be hot when ordering at most places is not out of the question. Okay, the one less star could be two less but there is so many good things about this place let's leave it up to you. The server carried the water pitcher by the spout(the critic in me has to tell it like it is) and in this day and age you don't do that. I must say I've seen other servers at other places deliver drinks with their hand around the rim, again this might not bother you so make your own decision. The "second" less star is the 3%charge for paying with a credit card. Totally rediculas to pass this business expense onto the customer. I will definitely pay with cash or seriously reconsider eating here. Lots of other good reasons to eat here though...

Was pretty good. The rice could've been a lil cooked better but mostly was delicious. The loin of pork in the tacos de la puerco seemed a lil over done. But everything else was still great. The tacos de la casa were very delicious. The guac was amazing as well.
