Mito

Back to my old neighborhood to visit relatives who said Mito was the best restaurant they knew. They were right. I have seen reviews here complaining about the service and price; ignore those, they do not know what they are talking about. The menu is very eclectic and, while mainly Japanese, has many other choices. I had shumai, which were the best I've eaten, followed by an avocado & salmon roll, which was 4-star. Very good, but maybe not the best I've had. I'd certainly order it again, though. My main was skirt steak, medium-rare, which was cooked exactly right and the portion size was excellent. You pay for quality and the amount of food delivered for $35 was not overly expensive. The veggies were crunchy and delicious, and the desserts were seriously good. I had panko fried bananas with vanilla ice cream and every option on the menu looked amazing. Cindy, our waitress, was everything a server should be: attentive, polite, helpful, and she anticipated every one of our needs. The interior of the restaurant is well done and the cutlery is gold. The restaurant is located at Bayside Terrance. It's a large restaurant, we were seated immediately even without reservation on a Saturday night. The staff and our waiter were very friendly. The Spanish octopus looked good but needed a little more flavor. The dry age ribeye steak was tender and cooked just right. I like the sauce that came with it. The sushi and sashimi deluxe variations was fresh. The Golden State roll was wrapped in rice paper and tasted a little bland. It needed a more flavorful sauce. Overall, it was a good experience and we will go back.

Came here for the first time this past weekend and was not disappointed! From the design of the place to the delicious, fresh food it was all perfect! The prices are higher than average for this type of cuisine however, the prices do reflect the high quality of the dishes. The four way salmon sushi was heaven and so was the warm chocolate lava cake. I didn't care for the rock shrimp tempura. Would highly recommend and be back!!

Our waitress Tracy was so attentive, friendly, and fast. The decoration of the restaurant was very modern… and the place was very spacious. The staff were all engaging and friendly, especially the manager Anna. She was very patient and answered very single question we had. The food was so fresh, authentic to taste, and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be visiting this restaurant again! Thank you Anna and Tracy for a great experience…

I'm very happy that we have such a very excellent restaurant in our area now. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the staff who were very organized and knew exactly where to go and what to do. The food that we ordered was just excellent, was not a very heavy feeling either after we were done eating. At the end of our meal we received a mint gum each and a wet wipe to clean off. Bit expensive but it is well worth the price if you'er in the mood for a good night out to eat, I will definitely be returning back the next occasion I get.
