Before I moved to the South Shore of Long Island, I took about 12 lessons with Meghan in 2016. I had never sung before except 'in the shower'. I was over 60, and my initial goal was to 'drop my voice' down from my head into my chest to enhance my public speaking. My second, and secret goal, was to be able to sing like Otis Redding.

Meghan is amazing! I always felt unconditionally supported no matter how simple the beginning exercise; she has a way of relaxing her student and helping them maintain their focus without being overbearing. She makes the session fun!! And yes, my voice began to 'drop' into my chest.

Working with Meghan has completely changed my singing—it was a night and day difference for me from the first lesson. When I started working with her I immediately started noticing it was monumentally easier for me to reach high and low notes. Before I took lessons with her, I was struggling a lot with my range and wondered if I could get past the challenges I was facing. But the technical changes Meghan has helped me to make have made such a difference. I remember practicing after my first lesson with her and thinking, “Wow, I can actually sing now!” (instead of fighting for the notes). I’ve been seeing Meghan for about 2 years now and I can confidently say that she has helped me in my singing career tremendously. She’s skilled and talented at what she does, and is one of the nicest people I’ve met. She really takes her time to know her students and work with them in a way that best suits them. When I first started, I was nervous to do the basic exercises, but after a few lessons, she helped come out of my shell and now I feel comfortable pushing myself. I’ll definitely be continuing lessons.

I signed both of my children up for lessons with Meghan. I had noticed my son's talent and was excited when he started with Meghan at 8 years old. Lessons are very professional, without being overbearing or too intense, and with Meghan's background I know that she will make sure he is using his voice properly and safely. They work on songs from different genres and I really saw a lot of growth. Covid made the journey a bit rocky, but we were able to see him perform live with a group of students just before the shut down. Seeing him and her other students, gave me goosebumps and shed some proud momma tears. After that she shared high quality recordings and I listen to them sometimes instead of the radio in my car. This past year my 7 year old daughter asked for lessons, and to try and put it nicely, she doesn't quite have the talent my son has so I really wasn't sure about asking Meghan to add her on. I am so glad Meghan accepted her to train. I was truly amazed at the progress they made together. I would highly recommend lessons with Meghan, whether your child is trying to find their voice or audition for Broadway, I think you will be happy with the results.
