Spear Physical Therapy

Based on past PT experiences, Spear has completely changed my mind about PT. I look forward to going, I warm up before my session and I have fun! Ryan is kind, focuses on his patients, and really listens to any concerns. I feel challenged but never pushed. The location is also perfect. I really feel cared for at Spear.

I got bilateral hip surgery about 3 1/2 weeks ago and I've been seeing Ryan for physical therapy since then and am extremely happy with my experience. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and overall just very pleasant and fun to work with. I feel a lot stronger than I thought I would at this point in my recovery. I'm walking without trouble and very mobile.

The whole staff is great! The receptionists make scheduling and rescheduling easy. The assistants are great at keeping you on track. Can't recommend enough.

I went to Spear in Dobbs Ferry for many months with Ryan as my primary physical therapist. He was really excellent and helped strengthen my back and core such that I haven’t had a problem since. He was also very flexible with rescheduling or fitting in last minute appointments. I would fully recommend this location for any issues you are having!

When I came to Spear my incredibly active lifestyle almost stopped because of an arthritic knee. No running, no biking, no intense workouts. Fast forward, I’m back to 5ks, my beloved Spartans and spin! The staff at the Dobbs location is brilliant. As long as I continue to do my knee homework that Ryan and friends gave me I am doing great! Their admin staff makes the payment and claims part of this just as painless!!! Big recommendation!!!

Had a great experince with recovery from a broken elbow at Spear Dobbs Ferry. Working mainly with Ryan I started off with very limited mobility and not fully understanding how much I needed therapy. I was quickly able to regain functionality and get to a place where I could use the arm.

Ryan tailored a treatment plan to accelerate my recovery and restore my arm to full mobility and increased strength and significantly faster then I expected. Setting my expectations to reasonable levels at first as well as pushing as necessary through the roadblocks. Working with Ryan, Jason and Liz I was able to get my arm fully straight for the first time within 4 months (the surgeon had originally set my expectations of four to six months).

This locations is within a gym which provides a unique experince as it led to an increased variety of exercises that helped with regaining my strength. The exercises were challenging but effective, and I felt supported and encouraged throughout the process. Scheduling was flexible and easy. I noticed a significant improvement in my pain, mobility and function after just a few sessions though it was still a journey to where I was stronger more mobile and it hurt less.
