I am so grateful that I was referred to Dr. Ari Mayerfield and New York Hand Associates for a surgical repair of my wrist, which had several displaced fractures of the radius. Dr. Mayerfield not only repaired the fractures, he reassured me that with surgery and rehabilitation, I would regain strength and range of motion in my hand. It is less than four weeks from my injury, and less than three weeks from Dr. Mayerfield’s surgical repair. I am wearing a removable brace and going to hand occupational therapy twice a week. In addition to therapy, I practice the movements on my own as much as I can. When I was first injured, I never imagined that I would be as far along as I am, at this point in time! If you need an excellent hand and wrist surgeon, you need look no further.
