Global Strongman Gym

I've known Hans for God knows how long. Great place, friendly dude, just very far from my house, but it's worth it for what you get.

Cool gym with a ton of equipment. Some were a bit older/well used. Hans the owner was also quite nice.

Fantastic gym for serious weight training. 4 squat racks with platforms and 1 bench - the ratio says it all. Every piece of strongman equipment I can think of - Atlas Stones, Yokes, circus dumbells, Thomas dumbell, kegs, hussafel stones, farmers handles, reverse hyper, GHD, every specialty bar I know of etc. etc. The owner keeps a super clean and neat space - easy to workout in. Music is good too, and he even helped me out on some deadlift tips. I might move to Brooklyn just for this gym.

if you want an old school strength training gym, this is your place, no crossfit trend workouts here, no brightly colored machines, just barbells,plates, and other strongman staples. I call it an adult playground where you can play with everything, and if you're not sure what to do with something ask Hans, the owner. Everybody who works out there is friendly, helpful and supportive, you'll frequently hear an athlete from one side of the gym calling out across the gym to another athlete in encouragement. at $99 a month it can't be beat!

Best gym I have Seen so far in New York! Every Strongman equipment one could imagine! Yoke, Atlasstones, many Logs, Husafellstone, Farmers, several Tires - anything. I’ll definitely come back. If you want a real gym, this is a real gym!!!
