Maru TaeKwonDo

My children started Taekwondo at the ages of 5, & 2 1/2 yrs old. They started Taekwondo as a way of growing stronger mentally, physically, & to build confidence in themselves. I wanted them to be able to focus better, and to learn discipline and respect for themselves and others. I also wanted them to be more agile, more flexible, and have fast reflexes. These skills all play a key part in daily activities; to making friends, doing school work, to playing sports, and most importantly, becoming who they are emotionally, mentally, & physically.

Maru Taekwondo has multiple Masters, Instructors, & Junior Leaders engaging with students. The Masters understand different age groups need different approaches to keep the children engaged. They also understand, each child is different and it’s not a one method teach all.

At the end of class, my children always leave with a sense of accomplishment.

The Masters at Maru Taekwondo are very caring to their students. My daughter was very shy and afraid of anyone and everything in PreK. Master Choi, Master Rin, and Master Bhowmick are great role models for children. After 6 months of Taekwondo, she became confident and strong, she was ready for Kindergarten. She started making friends very easily and is learning to become a leader, not a follower. I am impressed every day by their teachings and they teach the children that learning can also be fun, even though it could be challenging at times. We could never thank the school enough. Having them in my daughter's life is a true blessing.

Masters are super nice. My kids loves to go and train taekwondo. K-pop class is super cool too.

My son took it as a small child but quit. We moved in the area and I had my now teen go to Maru after he got “lost” and went with the wrong crowd in school. The masters became his mentors and he achieved second degree. He also got on the demonstration team where they performed at many social, cultural and charity events. He made friends and now calls it his second home. As a parent I discussed my concerns and they really tried to help him grow his confidence and skills. It was worth the investment!
