We ordered a custom made mantel .
“Harry” came to our home ,took measurements and gave us some options.
I love the shop, all kinds of wood pieces and (the scent of wood) easily accessible.
To our delight, received a call from Harry that the mantel was ready( took 2 weeks).
Harry also referred a guy that does the mounting( very pleased. ) He did an excellent job.

Harry was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what we wanted when we explained it to him. He made sure all projects were finished in time for my contractor to install them and even took the liberty to add a handle to my door order because I had forgotten to and he didn’t want it to hold up my project. If you are looking for something unique and different from the ho-hum that you see in furniture stores, this is the place to go. We started this process in November, going to the “yard” With Harry to pick out a piece of wood. He was so knowledgeable and encouraged us along the way. We weren’t sure of many things but he smoothed things over. He took extra care to make sure everything was done professionally with no errors at all. So impressive. This is a quality company and will guarantee that your table or chest or whatever it is that you order will wow you.

Definitely an interesting place, not so.ething I expected to find on Long Island. Lots of interesting wood as dimensional lumber, slabs and reclaimed wood. Lots of interesting pieces and ideas. And the finished products they have on displayed are inspiring and beautiful. If you're a woodworker, or looking for an interesting, original piece (even a simple mantle can be very interesting) it's worth the visit.

The team at Urban is extremely professional and knowledgable. Even though we compete in the same marketplace as woodworkers, they are my go-to for quality materials and difficult jobs.
