Chief Instructor Sensei Simon has the perfect balance of force and grace, skill and silliness, the ability to teach a solid class and connect to the children. I chose this dojo after stopping in to chat with Sensei Simon and found the combination of his intelligence, humor, deep love for the martial arts and his teaching philosophy confidence-inspiring.
I know my son has not only a teacher but a mentor.
Both beloved and highly respected by the children, he interacts with every child and parent in a way that makes you feel like you have your own personal sensei. Sensei Aldworth shares his enthusiasm and passion in her teaching style and her focus on respect for self and others and strength of community is commendable.

Words cannot properly express how highly I think of the instructors at Kempo Academy!
They cater to each child's individual needs and somehow are able to give each student the proper one on one attention they need to excel even in large classes.
This class has helped my son focus his energy while allowing him to be himself and have fun!

Amazing place. We've tried other dojos, but this one motivated my son like no other. The entire staff knows each kids' struggles, strong points, and how to get in their heads and make them WANT to grow in the martial arts. It's amazing to watch. They're so good, I joined too!

My daughter started at Kempo Academy when she was 4. I have watched her grow in discipline, skill, poise, and awareness. She loves her classes and attended the karate camp last summer. When she received her purple belt, I decided I would give it a try. Sensei Simon invited me to trial a few classes, and I found that I couldn't get enough. He and the staff are highly skilled in their ability to reach students, young and old. Their breadth of instruction ranges from practical to intellectual. Kempo Academy is a wonderful part of our community and I am happy we can be a part of it.

My son started martial arts in May 2015 and he is enjoying every aspect. Sensei Simon one of the greatest instructors I have ever seen and he is always aware of student's individual needs. Great Dojo! We love it!
